North Korea

The threat of North Korea obtaining deliverable nuclear weapons is real. Trump campaigned as a tough negotiator, with the skill set needed to have North Korea cease in development of nuclear missile.

From John Bolton’s book, Trump had no coherent strategy. He liked to be the center of attention. He went for the photo shoots. He liked to talk about eventual nuclear disarmament, but was unable to do any better than President Obama.

And in the end, President Kim Jong-Un played to Trump’s vanity and won.

It will be a major problem to be passed to Joe Biden. There will be no big summits, or photo ops. It will take immense cooperation from all our Asian partner to cause nuclear disarmament. It will be a lot of behind the scenes diplomacy.
